Hello!

I’m Louise, mum to a Year 7 daughter who started at Bethlehem College this year. I’m also the Director of Everyday Needs, a homewares store I have had for nine years, with a small shop on Ponsonby Road in Auckland as well as online. We focus on timeless, beautifully made items that are both functional and inspiring, objects that bring joy to the everyday.

With a background in art and photography, I’m passionate about supporting incredible makers, artists, and designers from Aotearoa and around the world. One of the things I love most is how Everyday Needs has come to resonate with people of all ages & genders, our grounded, utilitarian aesthetic has a broad, thoughtful appeal that is described as warm, honest, and useful.
